Asle Festø (lead vocals, lead guitar)

Asle is the band's main singer and guitarist. His powerful voice masters coarse drinking and rebel songs in the tradition of Ronnie Drew and Shane MacGowan, as well as velvety ballads. Following years of training, he is able to pronounce “shillelagh”!

Asle plays an accustic Alvarez Yairi and an electric Epiphone LP Boneyard guitar. By daytime, he is currently working on his PhD in microelectronics.

Stig Bruhjell (banjo, mandolin, flute & whistles)

Undoubtedly one of the finest banjo players in… the band, Stig started playing when studying in Galway a few years back. As of yet, he has not been persuaded to wear bib overalls or a straw hat. Stig is also a skilled performer on the tin whistle, mandolin and electric guitar - they don't call him Clever Jake for nothing!

Stig plays a Clareen banjo, a Fürch mandolin, a Fender octave mandolin, and a low D Chieftain whistle. When not playing, he's teaching science and mathematics.

Anders Vengen (drums, percussion, bodhrán & backing vocals)

Anders has the ungrateful job of trying to keep the rest of the performers in one (and preferably the same) rhytm. He is known to employ literary any piece of furniture, cooking equipment or body part for this purpose. Anders is the most experienced musician in the band, having played various styles of music with several local bands. He also has a good, if yet under-utilized singing voice.

Anders plays a Pearl Maple Custom glx drum kit and a handmade DW Craviotto snare drum using Silverfox sticks. And he's got a new Chau Gong!

Håvard Røkke (harmonicas, whistles, xaphoon and concertina)

"The best f%&#ing harmonica player in the world", (Shane MacGowan 2004).

Håvards main instrument is the diatonic harmonica, which he is playing in a somewhat unorthodox fashion. His interest for Celtic music was initiated by listening to early Dubliners-albums, and enhanced when studying in Edinburgh and travelling in Scotland and Ireland. .

Håvard plays Suzuki Promaster and Hohner Meisterklasse harmonicas, a Bushman Xaphoon and a Gremlin Anglo Concertina. When not acting as a musician he's a certified drug dealer.

Bård Larsen (bass, mandolin)

Bård was a good friend of the band ever since the early days at Finnegans. Bård plays the bass in an improvisational melodical manner that suits the band very well. With his energetic playing style he inspires the rest of the band to really hit the chords harder.

Bård desperately wants to put some structure into the songs and tunes of Shenanigans. He plays a Peavey bass.
